Jim Weiner, LEED Fellow, AIA

Managing Principal Jim Weiner founded Collaborative Project Consulting as the natural progression of a thirty-year career as a design architect & educator.  He is a recognized thought leader in architecture & sustainable building in the U.S. & internationally.  Green building policy has been shaped by his hands-on work with the U.S. Green Building Council, major utilities, universities and local governments. Jim is an educator & speaker for groups including the American Library Association, Community College Facilities Coalition, UCLA, USC, UCSB, SCIARC, Association of Energy Engineers, American Solar Energy Society, AIA, ASHRAE, Energy Resource Center & the U.S. Green Building Council.


Kelly Gearhart, LEED Faculty, LEED BD+C & O+M, GPR

Kelly Gearhart is a USGBC Faculty member and an Advising Associate with Collaborative Project Consulting. Kelly also teaches at U.C. Berkeley, is a Principal with Triple Green Building Group, LLC, delivers LEED workshops around the United States, and serves as the Co-Chair of USGBC Northern California Chapter's Climate Change Task Force. Kelly possesses more than a decade of sustainable building design, construction, and operations experience working with all building types for a wide range of clients, including operations professionals, governments, corporate entities, and non-profit organizations.


Mark Klein, WELL AP, LEED AP BD+C & ND, MPL

Mark Klein is an Associate Principal at Collaborative Project Consulting. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2007 & Master of Planning degree from USC in 2012. Mark began his career in construction management with McCormick Construction. He brings the perspective of a builder, broad vision of an urban planner, and project management skills of a General Contractor to Collaborative's sustainability team. 

Mark was the Co-Founding Director of the LA 2030 District environmental nonprofit, & the current Chair of Membership & Outreach with the San Francisco 2030 District. He guest lectures at USC, UCLA, regional conferences & national summits, & successfully facilitates construction of dozens of LEED Certified buildings. Also, Mark recently became one of the first WELL Accredited Professionals in the nation. The WELL Building Standard is the world's first building standard focused exclusively on human health & wellness.


David Dimond, LEED AP O+M, GPR

David Dimond is a Strategist and Senior Project Manager at Collaborative Project Consulting. Aside from being LEED O+M accredited and certified as a Green Point Rater for new homes, David has held a California Real Estate Salesperson’s license and worked in the areas of residential real estate finance, commercial real estate finance, and development for years. At Collaborative, David provides sustainable consulting services for projects pursuing LEED, GreenPoint Rated, and Enterprise Green Communities certification for a variety of building types, including multi-family housing, public use, commercial, mixed use, and retrofits.  


Ginger, Wellness Director

Ginger joined the Collaborative team in early 2015. She has extensive experience in being adorable, brings a common sense perspective to environmental awareness that our clients find indispensable, and encourages us to get out of the office to exercise periodically throughout the day.
